In order to access your test please click on the green Go to Test button.

Please ensure that you read the important points below before starting your test.

  • The test is currently available for £19.50. This small fee will be applicable for the next 6 months, after which the fee may increase.
  • First research trials (via the BDA website and with a number of universities) shows strong statistical evidence that QS test can successfully identify functional dyslexia (see research section). Where the dyslexia is adversely affecting a person’s ability to carry out a range of tasks (including literacy skills) then QuickScreen will identify these areas of weakness as well as indicating your strengths.
  • If you are a student, don’t forget to take your report to Student Support Services to arrange access for appropriate assessment and support.
  • If you are working or seeking employment you can provide your employer with your report together with the recommendations and request appropriate adjustments to be considered.
  • In order to access your test please click on the green Go to Test button. You will be able to quickly register an account to create a login for the QuickScreen (QS) dyslexia test and get started. You can complete the test in stages to suit your schedule by visiting this website and clicking on the Login link in the main menu.
    • Please click on the Buy Now button to purchase a test. A PayPal screen will appear and you have the option to either login, if you have an account, or click on the button that says ‘pay with a debit or credit card’ (i.e. you do not need a PayPal account).
  • Warning from users: Do not try and fast track through to the tests- make sure to look at the short instruction video before doing each of the tests.

About Processing Skills

  • This section includes a reading passage and short dictation. The reading passage is pitched at an A* to C grade GCSE level and is suitable for candidates of 17+. It is therefore quite challenging for anybody who has not attained a GCSE in English.
  • It is recommended that you complete as much of it as you can. If you don’t know the spelling of a word, you can type it as best you can. The more information provided the more your results will be of help and relevance. Whilst there are some harder words to spell, at least two thirds of the content is made up of words you should find quite easy to spell.

Dyspraxia and Handwriting

  • If you are specifically interested in your handwriting speed being part of the test then please ensure to opt for the handwriting AND typing option. Otherwise you will only be asked to type in your response.
  • Warning from users: Do not try and fast track through to the test – make sure you look at the short instruction video before doing each of the tests.
  • Upon completion of all parts of the test, you can log in and read, download and save your results and print copies of your full report and recommendations for your own requirements.

Please Note: In the event that you are issued with more than one test then please note that only the first one that you do will be valid and the additional test will be deleted. This has occasionally occured on some browsers and isa being corrected.

We welcome your comments and feedback on the test and results.  If you have any questions, please contact us. Please read what others have said in our user feedback and testimonials sections about the QS Dyslexia test.

Free Trial For Organisations

Organisations, colleges and universities can register an account and access a license for a free 2 month trial of the QuickScreen (QS) dyslexia testing portal. (Read more about this tool and how it can work for organisations).

Simply click on the green Request a Trial button.

Please ensure that you read the important points below before starting your trial.

  • Colleges and Universities can register an account and access a license for a free 2 month trial of the QuickScreen (QS) dyslexia testing portal.  (Read more about this tool.)
  • A 2016 University-based research trial confirms that where students get a result of mild, moderate or strong indicators they are highly likely to be dyslexic. The test has also identified a clear link between dyslexia and speed of processing – a key element of the QS Dyslexia Test. Further research is now being conducted in 2017 (see Research section).
  • Simply click on the green Request a Trial button.  You can conduct multiple tests for your staff, recruits and students simultaneously (aged 17+). You can login as and when you wish (by using the login button on the main menu on this website).
  • We recommend that before sending out the test to participants, you refer to the online admin and tutor manuals (see links at the bottom of the portal dashboard). These outline many of the features of the test and provide examples of completed reports.
  • Tutors can assign tests which students complete in their own time (max. one hour), an email is then sent to the tutor who can arrange to check the results in consultation, add comments to the report and sign it.
  • There is also a unique registration link, which can be posted on the organisation’s portal/noticeboard, if you wish candidates to self-refer to do the test.
  • There is an automated csv file for each institution in which all the detailed results are recorded and any section of which can be archived at appropriate intervals.
  • Once you start your 2 month free trial we will make contact with you to discuss your requirements, see how you are getting on and answer any of your questions.
  • Only after the trial period will you need to decide if this test is in keeping with your organization’s requirements and if it is then you can apply to purchase an annual license. All details regarding costing for organizations is available from Pico Education Sales Manager (rae.hodson@picoeducation.co.uk)
