Do you know that you could be suffering from “Screen Fatigue”? If you haven’t optimised the screen on your phone, tablet or computer, you may well be dealing with the debilitating symptoms of Screen Fatigue (also known as Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS)).

Screen Fatigue is very common and some of the symptoms to look out for are:

  • Double Vision
  • Blurred Vision
  • Bloodshot Eyes
  • Itchy Eyes
  • Stiff Neck
  • Spine Pain
  • Severe Headache

All of these things could significantly reduce your performance, productivity and wellbeing.

The background colour of your screen could help combat some of these side effects… Every individual will have a colour best suited to their eyes and, when identified and implemented, increases your productivity by up to of 20%! You’ll also see a significant reduction in stress levels when compared to using a traditional black-on-white text and background.

It has now been made possible to “objectively” measure the risk of Screen Fatigue / CVS, and significantly reduce this ongoing hazard. ScreenRisk Ltd and The S.M.A.R.T. foundation presented their Display Screen Optimiser at the Safety & Health Expo 2018 on 19-21 June.

As CVS is sometimes referred to as “Visual Dyslexia” we were delighted that they also had our QuickScan Dyslexia questionnaire tool on their stand. Screenrisk Ltd and The S.M.A.R.T. foundation will be promoting QuickScan as part of their Corporate wellbeing offering.

While the Screenrisk Display Screen Optimiser will help with “Visual Dyslexia”, QuickScan and our QuickScreen online dyslexia test will help your wellbeing teams to identify signs of dyslexia. This will help their process of managing the “reasonable adjustments” required under the Disability Discrimination Act.

The huge and varied exhibition at ExCel London attracted visitors from major companies from a wide range of sectors around the world.

Take the ‘Screen Access Score’ test to see how well your device’s screen scores.
